Meriden - The Platt Panthers defeated the Farmington Indians by a 47-7 score on Opening Night at Falcon Field Friday. There wasn't much the Indians could do with the well-rounded Panthers. With a key stop late in the second quarter, the Platt defense stood up Farmington on a goal line drive. The offense lead by AJ Marinelli had 6 TDs. The win brings the Panther program one win away from 300 overall.
